Britain's best ferry operator

Your award-winning ferry service

We’re incredibly proud to be named Ferry Operator of the Year 2024 at the National Transport Awards, as well as picking up Silver in the prestigious British Travel Awards.

Our podium finish in the Best Ferry Operator for Routes from/to UK Ports category means we’ve finished in the top two for three consectuive years, and that’s all down to the hard work and dedication of our amazing colleagues.

Thousands of you voted in this year’s British Travel Awards, just as in previous years, and we’re truly grateful to all of you who continue to use our service to get across the Solent.

We’d like to thank everyone who took their time to give us their vote and also pass on our congratulations to our ferry peers from Brittany Ferries and P&O Ferries, who picked up gold and bronze awards respectively.

Why choose us

Every year, we bring 4.2 million people together through three convenient ferry routes, linking the mainland with the Isle of Wight.

We connect you with loved ones, business meetings, holidays, tradespeople, festivals, deliveries, wildlife and everything in between. And we’re true believers that your getaway starts on board, which is why we’ve fitted our ferries to the highest standards – with sun decks, cafés serving locally-sourced food and drink and even play areas, so families can let the kids roam free.

But that’s not all – find three reasons why we feel we’re worthy award-winners below.

Punctual, reliable and regular service

Across our three routes linking Hampshire with the Isle of Wight, on average we run over 140 sailings a day during peak summer. So you know that you can get where you need to be, when you need to be there.

Punctuality and reliability are vital to the service you rely on – every month we publish our full sailing data with details on cancellations and delays.

Leading the way for a greener future

Climate change is happening and we want to be part of the solution. That’s why we have our Green Solent Project, and initiative to protect the land, air and sea that surrounds us.

With a pledge to achieve net-zero carbon emissions within the next decade, we have ambitious plans to launch a fully-electric vehicle ferry as well as electrifying our existing fleet.
